Olin has a PhD in philosophy from the University of Washington. His main area of study is the philosophy of science, with emphasis in the metaphysics and epistemology of science, ontology, American Pragmatism, and naturalism.

Olin's research involves thinking about the relation between our everyday, common sense concepts about the world around us, and how these influence, and are influenced by the products of scientific investigation.

 

Olin was born and raised in Alaska and now lives in New Haven, CT.
